All in all, the ski resort offers 5 different ski runs of varying degrees and length. Snow boarding and snowboarding lessons are also available and for the kids, there is a sledging area which is also great for the young ones.

Dubai Ski uses real snow created by the conditions in the dome. Over 6000 tons of snow in fact, so the thermal clothing is a real necessity if you are to spend any time here.

To complement the day in the Alps, at the foot of the resort are alpine style restaurants where you can eat fondue or sip a glass of mulled wine. Après ski is always a big part of any skiing holiday and in the Mall of the Emirates, they've really made it happen!

'Dubai Sunny Mountain Ski Resort' is another groundbreaking project due to open in 2008 in Dubailand. Due to the success of the Dubai Ski Dome, Dubai is also constructing a huge dome housing a revolving ski slope, which will meander through artificial mountain ranges. To make this a real 'arctic' experience, included in this attraction will be a penguin house, arctic aquarium, cold and warm bath spas and many more facilities to make this fantastic arctic experience in the desert. Dubailand is being constructed now and is an attraction that will really rival any Disney park.

I'm in the 8th grade and I'm going to have a ski trip when I come back from winter break. I'm not sure what to wear though..and I'm very self conscious and shy. I have lots of time and the money so that isn't a problem. I saw in pictures that skiers wear snow pants but, I think I'm going to look stupid with them on! Is there any alternative to big baggy ski pants? I have no idea what other kids are going to wear so I'm really uh.. nervous. Please help me! Tell me anything I need to know about ski wear from thermal underwear to whatever. Also a couple more questions, should I wear my hair down with a hat or up? Because I think i look bad with my hair up in it. And also, are Uggs good for boots? They keep me real warm and they are already pretty messed up so I don't care if they get messed up more. Thanks!

I have been a skier for 37 years and only started wearing a Ski Helmet over the last 2 seasons. I did because I feel in 2 feet of powder and my head bounced off what was under the powder, ICE. Ski resorts add water to the snow making in the fall to make a base for the season.
Skiers and snowboarders fall that's just a fact. So what you should be thinking of is what ski helmet is best for each person,
Every helmet should fit properly meaning measure each persons head and ask whomever you buy from to reference the box for measurements. The helmet should not move back and forth and side to side. Most 2008 Ski Helmets have adjustments to tighten the helmet.
Do some testing at a ski shop then buy them online to save money.
Things to look for.
1-Fit
2-Venting. You want to be able to open and close the vents
3-linings. Buy Ski Helmets with removable a lining and ear flaps.
4-Chin strap. Make sure the strap has padding and is adjustable
5-Never buy a used Ski, Snowboard Helmet. Once a helmet hits the ground and the inner padding gets compressed it's useless.
6-Goggle holder on the back is a must
